On February 2, 2026, Asst. Prof. Kamlai Somrak, Acting Deputy Director of Primary Care at Walailak University hospital (WUH), along with staff from the Primary Care Division, attended the opening ceremony of the “Mobile Mammogram Breast Cancer Screening” project.
The event also marked the launch of the innovative “Mor Oun Jai” application. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Suttipot Chayanatphong, Chief of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Public Health Office, at the Multi-Purpose Building, Phrom Lok Subdistrict Municipality, Phrom Khiri District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Objectives and Innovation
This initiative was organized to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 6th Cycle (72nd) Birthday Anniversary. The project aims to:
- Expand Access: Provide high-risk and underprivileged women with thorough breast cancer screenings using modern mammogram technology.
- Proactive Outreach: Utilize the “Mor Oun Jai: Your Partner in Conquering Cervical Cancer” application to reach women who face barriers to healthcare services.
- Collaboration: Integrate efforts with health networks in Phrom Khiri District to establish a model for provincial, regional, and national health initiatives.
