On 14–15 July 2025, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, in collaboration with the School of Medicine, Walailak University, and the Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand, organized a practical training workshop entitled “Holistic Child and Adolescent Care with a Focus on Anti-Bullying.” The event was held at the Huathapan Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Chulabhorn Medical Center Building.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Kitti Rattanasombat, Acting Director of Walailak University Medical Center Hospital.
This workshop aimed to address the growing concern of bullying in schools by equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in child and adolescent care. The training followed the guidelines established by the Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand and was designed to enhance awareness, improve intervention strategies, and promote the creation of safe environments for children and youth.
The event was honored by distinguished guest speakers, including Clinical Professor Dr. Winadda Piyasillp from Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Associate Professor Dr. Thidarat Puranachaikiri from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Dr. Thanyalak Wanliang from Hat Yai Hospital. These esteemed experts, along with their teams, shared valuable academic insights and clinical experiences in pediatric and adolescent healthcare.
The training was specifically tailored for healthcare professionals, educators, and individuals working closely with children, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of bullying behaviors, their long-term impact, and effective preventative and responsive strategies. The program included keynote lectures, expert panel discussions, and hands-on practice sessions to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
