February 21, 2025 a team from Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, led by the hospital director, organized the mobile medical unit at Ban Thung Kro School, Mokhlan Subdistrict, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The event was honored by the Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat, who presided over the opening ceremony, alongside the Provincial Public Health Doctor of Nakhon Si Thammarat, the Tha Sala District Chief, Por Sor Wor volunteers, Tha Sala Hospital staff, government officials from various agencies, village heads, public health volunteers, and local residents.
The services provided included general medical check-ups, physical therapy, nutritional education, dental care, ultrasound examinations, and traditional Thai medicine treatments, all free of charge. A large number of people attended the event to receive medical services. This mobile medical unit initiative under the Por Sor Wor program helps ensure that people in remote areas have convenient and equitable access to healthcare services.
