An 80-year-old patient suffering from severe aortic stenosis made a full recovery thanks to a successful aortic valve replacement surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The patient initially experienced symptoms like fatigue, chest tightness, and heart palpitations during daily activities. While the medication kept her condition stable for a year, worsening symptoms eventually made surgery necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Left untreated for several months, the patient underwent a thorough evaluation by a cardiovascular surgeon at Walailak University Hospital. After determining her fitness for surgery, the operation was promptly scheduled. The surgery involved replacing the damaged aortic valve with an artificial valve made from bovine pericardium, the sac surrounding the heart of a cow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
